and they curb the sweet tooth cravings.
A big key is to not allow yourself to become ravenous. It is better to eat several small meals than one large one, for instance. When you do eat, vary your food to include all food groups. Not everyone likes all foods. For instance, someone may positively detest spinach. However, there are many ways to prepare spinach, and chances are that a way can be found that will please the spinach hater.
There are also spinach alternatives, such as chard, mustard greens, and collard greens. They have many of the same traits, yet they taste different. They add to your body's natural ability to shed the pounds while promoting health.
If you are prone to binge eating, that is, sitting down and devouring half a cow at a setting (exaggeration, but the meaning is obvious), a half hour to forty five minutes before the meal, drink one or two glasses of cool water. This won't destroy your appetite, but it will mean that you'll eat less before you feel full.
Does a balanced diet work? Yes. Just as a single example, a woman moved to a new town and got a job at a store located four blocks from home. At that time, she weighed 168 pounds, though she is small boned and is only a hair over 5'2" tall.
Her husband was determined to change lifestyles with the move, so he began insisting on good food choices and a balanced meal. At the same time, the woman decided to walk to and from work each day. It was senseless to drive that distance. Less than a year later, the woman weighed less than 130 pounds, she felt better physically, and she looked better.
The diet alone wouldn't have accomplished it, and walking to work wouldn't have accomplished it. But together, the pounds came off and stayed off. Before you think that this is something that only young people can attain, let me explain that the woman is in her early 50's.
Some people may think that a year isn't a 'quick' amount of time. Truth is, though, that getting the weight off and keeping it off is the key. It does little good to drop 20 pounds in a month if you gain 30 the next month. Be realistic in your goals, eat balanced meals, and get at least some exercise of your choosing.
I'm over 50, I'm getting a belly now, but I still can wear clothes I wore in ninth grade. The lady alluded to in this, is my wife, and she feels healthier than she has for 20 years. Part of that is diet and part is walking to work.
This is about the quickest yet safest weight loss diet out there, and best of all, it isn't a fad. Yet it isn't hard to do, and it doesn't mean that you need to endure hunger pains.
