The benefits of working out at a 24 hour fitness locations

Beginning an exercise program is important for weight loss and overall health. Aerobic exercise strengthens the cardiovascular system while weight training builds muscle mass and bone density. Finding the right gym is an important step towards starting and maintaining an exercise routine. After working out at 24 Hour Fitness for more than three years, I have found a tremendous number of benefits of having a membership to this widespread chain of gyms.

Location, Location, Location

No matter where I travel, there is bound to be a 24 Hour Fitness nearby. Because I have an "All Club" membership, I can work out at any location. Some days I might choose the gym nearest my home, while other days I can get my cardio done at the gym by my work. I don't have to hope that my hotel has a good fitness center. I can also go with my friends to work out at their locations, all included in my membership package.

Sizes

24 Hour Fitness has gyms in a range of sizes, from small Fitlite locations to colossal Ultra Sport gyms with every amenity. Since not everyone has the same preferences in what they want from a fitness center, there is a 24 Hour Fitness location to suit each need. You can choose the gym that fits your style - or visit different ones as your preferences change.

Trainers

Every trainer that I have worked with at 24 Hour Fitness has been friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. If you are a fitness novice, consider purchasing a package of training sessions when you join your gym. Your trainer will help you design a routine to meet your goals and will teach you to use the equipment properly. Not only can your purchase training at 24 Hour Fitness, but they always have people available to answer questions about any of the machines. Education is key so that you don't injure yourself!

Classes

24 Hour Fitness offers a variety of group exercise classes for people looking for a new challenge. Step, spinning, kickboxing, Pilates, and yoga are popular classes that I can find free at my gym, taught by great instructors. Locations that have pools often offer water aerobics classes. Whether you want a new cardio or resistance program, there is probably a class at 24 Hour Fitness that you would enjoy. Weekly schedules can also be found online.

Free Trial Pass

If you aren't sure you want to join 24 Hour Fitness, you can find a free 7-day pass on their website. This will give you a few days free to decide if you like your location and if you will actually go. If you use the free pass, you will also get $20 off your initiation fees should you choose to join.

Kids' Club

If you have children, it can make it difficult to get to the gym and work out. 24 Hour Fitness takes parents into consideration. Many locations offer a Kids' Club which provides babysitting while you workout. If you are needed, the staff can page you in the gym so you don't have to worry about your children. The hours and rates vary by location, so call your local club to see if they provide this service.

Bonuses and Specials

Keep your eyes out for special discounts when you are considering a 24 Hour Fitness membership. I paid for my first year upfront when I signed up, and was given the next two years for free. This deal made my decision for me. There are always a variety of promotions geared towards new members, especially around the beginning of the year.

After three years, I was still satisfied with my membership and renewed for another year. 24 Hour Fitness locations are a great place to work out, no matter what your fitness goals. Check out their free pass and see if your local club is the right place for you to get into shape.
