With the revelation this week that Vice-President Dick Cheney authorized the fabrication of CIA reports linking Saddam Hussein and Al-Queda to the 9/11 terrorist attacks as a pre-text for war, there should be no question regarding the war crimes that have been committed and who committed them.

All one has to do is read the Project for the New American Century documents signed by Cheney, Wolfowitz, Libbey, Perle, Rumsfeld, and Jeb Bush to see that this was all pre-planned a long time ago. All they needed was an excuse to send our soldiers to Iraq to get killed for their principles. This war on a sovereign nation was not to stop the threat of terror or to stabilize the middle-east, if anything, the threat of terrorist attacks is more profound and the middle east is far more destabilized than it was before we declared "Mission Accomplished!" This war is about protecting our oil interests and the interests of Israel at the expense of our economy, our standing in the world, and our soldier-citizens. Saddam Hussein was the most stabilizing influence in the region as he had no tolerance for religious fanatics in his country. To put all of this in perspective, the Pentagon quietly released over 250 inmates from Guantanamo Bay two weeks ago because they were held for years without any evidence that they had committed any crimes. Rather than face the International Red Cross and the United Nations for the torture of innocent civilians, they released them all.

Let's look at the business of the Iraq war. Why are we trying to build 48 permanent bases in that country? Is it to spread Democracy? I don't think so. I think it may be more along the lines of stabilizing and protecting the oil pipelines that are being constructed by Halliburton right now. Both the Vice-President and the President have significant stock in Halliburton and The Carlyle Group which owns Halliburton. Cheney's stock has soared a whopping 3800% in three years. How many of you can say your investments have gains like that? Coincidentally, Guantanamo Bay was built by Halliburton and paid for by you and I, the taxpayers. Maybe we should turn it into Disney World Cuba and let the inmates run the rides while Blackwater guards are made to endure the waterboarding fun-house.

The trials that should be going on should be the Bush Administration facing charges of treason. This needs to happen rather quickly, or at the exit-point of this administration, bombs are going to start falling all over Iran.
