As written in my article on the possible cause/s for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, it only makes sense to approach the treatment options by following the trail of these causative agents. Often in our society, are causative agents overlooked due to ignorance (either due to reductionist thought on the one side, or unbalanced mystical on the other). It is this best to name the postulated causes (taken from personal experience as well as a thorough history taken from many patients), and thus suggest treatment options; not only blindly 'stab in the dark' with symptomatic relief.
CFS is a multifactoral cascade of events that lead to the 'bizarre' symptoms, and could be summarized and then treated using this summary:
[First, remove the burning hand from the fire]
Chronic intestinal tract damage due to the wrong foods and/or ingested agents (for humans in general, but more pronounced in certain genetically predisposed individuals), such as:
* Monocotyledons (wheat, maize, rice etc) that you find in almost everything you eat.
> Avoid these foods, and replace starch intake with potato if possible.
* Cow protein (from dairy products to meat in all forms)
> Avoid cow protein, and replace with goat dairy (soya products can cause proctitis).
* Overuse of anti-biotics, causing a disturbance in intestinal flora (candidiasis).
> Avoid the overuse of anti-biotics; most infections will improve spontaneously.
>If it is needed to take ab's, then eat goat's yoghurt with live cultures (notably so lactobacillus and bifidobacterium) to keep the intestinal flora balance, and thus avoid further damage to the intestinal wall due to a chronic yeast (candida) presence.
* High sugar intake in the West can increase candida presence in the gut.
> Lower sugar intake, or stop all together.
* Avoid alcohol and other yeast products.
[While on the road to recovery, take some steps to improve the symptoms]
* Drink plenty of properly filtered water (removes released toxins as candida dies).
* Follow a Low GI diet to improve fatigue and 'brain fog'.
* Spend time in nature, away form pollution and EM radiation.
* Mild exercise (from simple to more advanced yoga or pilates does wonders).
* If needed, use simple analgesics in combinations with low doses (for example, use low doses of paracetamol with low doses of aspirin). Stay clear from opioids!
* Acupuncture, Shiatsu, Reiki & Sound Therapy helps.
* Use your creative potential, thus create in some way: from writing to art.
* Be patient and positive.
