Poetry: Facing life

Circles Within Circles

"What is this life?" I hear You ask,
"Love, and yes, our friendships too,
Balancing all is such a hard task,
Perspective all swirled and skewed,
How do we reign in entities so vast,
Retaining sanity and sense of who,
We are and whether it all will last,
I certainly have no answers, do you?"

"Circles within circles." so says I,
"Lines upon lines, angles in angles,
Time, too much complicates as it flies,
Love, friendship and other such tangles,
Now deeply breath, while facing the skies,
Put away uncertainty, confusion strangle,
Hold tightly your faith and to blood ties,
As your rock, all else is fleeting spangle."
