Bisquick is one of the most handy things in my kitchen and I use it nearly every day for pancakes, biscuits, cakes and muffins. It has everything you need to make any kind of cake product and everything I make with Bisquick always turns out great.
Bisquick has just about everything in it one needs to bake any kind of cake-like breads such as muffins or banana bread. This coffee cake recipe is really very simple, quick and easy with very little cleanup. It's also very versatile in that you can add other ingredients such as apples, blueberries or really any kind of fruit. (about a cup, maybe a tad more)
The cinnamon in the topping can be substituted for any other spice that may work better such as vanilla if you use bananas or almond extract if you use cherries or nutmeg if you use pumpkin or sweet potato. Cinnamon goes great with apples, raisins or both.
