Everyday time-saving solutions

Time is the one thing that we all get, bet never have enough of. With countless chores to do every day, it would be a real help to shave off a few minutes here and there. For your convenience, here for you are a few tips to save you a lot of time in the long run.

In the Kitchen
Wash your dishes, cookware, and silverware as soon as you finish using them. Even if you have a dishwasher, getting all of the food particles and grease off immediately will mean no standing in front of a pile of dishes trying to scrape them off later. Consider it part of making and eating a meal.

In the Bathroom
The best time saver for the bathroom is to do everything you need to do all at once. If you need to use the facilities, brush your teeth, shave, and take a shower, just stay in the bathroom and do one after another. I wouldn't recommend trying to do them all at the same time, as that may be dangerous or unhealthy, but if you are in a rush or are feeling bold, give it a shot.

In Transit
Nobody likes making a special trip just to buy a book of stamps. It's a waste of time and gas. Try to get as many chores done as possible in one trip. Whenever you need to do something, write it on a sheet of paper and keep it in your pocket. When you are going out to do something, check your list and see everything you need to do. Be careful, though. Just because you are out of the house doesn't mean you are being efficient. If two stores are on opposite sides of town, then going to both of them in one rip will take a lot of time. Going to the places that are all near each other will save time.

In General
Start things that with timers before doing the things without timers. If you need to do the laundry, pay the bills, defrost dinner, and feed the pet, then you should start the laundry first and then start defrosting. Those things take a long time, but only require you to start them. If you do them first, then call up people to pay bills on the phone, and feed the pet while you are on hold, then you are doing four things at the same time. Multitasking like this take a bit of energy all at once, but give you much more free time afterward to relax.
