To quiver is key
for he quivers with me,
an inch apart
and yet,
a mile away.
Leaning in,
and breathing heavy,
feeling weak,
and embracing luck,
that moment stops all of time
for a second of true passion
immerses
through
the touch of a lip...
massage of a tongue...
grip of a hand
To anticipate is desire
for it leaves the thoughts of touch,
scent,
and lust,
lingering in the mists of a kiss.

Hesitant, ecstatic and faltering
Ashamed, awkward and fearing
Naive, cute

With love's first kiss as the morning bell tolls,
A gentle touch
