Poetry: Will you?

Will You?

Will you go back in time
When your love was only mine?

Will you love me once again
The way you did a way back then?

Will you think about the days
We shared so many ways?

Will you remember once again
What it was like to hold my hand?

Will you take time to reminise
What it was like to share a kiss?

Will you remember when I was young
And all the songs to me you've sung?

Will you remember when we were wed
And the vows to me you said?

Will you recall when your son was born
And your daughter the day after Christmas morn?

Will you think about my tears
And all my laughter through the years?

Will you think back to days of pleasure
That were countless and beyond earth's measure?

Will you recall me more than a friend
When summer days had no end?

And when you reach the other shore
Will you reach out for me once more?

Will you be the angel standing nigh
As I say my last goodbye?
