2007 NFC WILD CARD GIANTS vs. EAGLES

The 2006 NFL Giant regular season is over and we all have to ask ourselves how much better off are we. Much time was wasted in front of the set, many times there was the home team doing horrific things towards themselves. Other times were spent in endless mental mathematical calisthenics as scores cycled through the corner of the screen adding and subtracting points trying to understand where, we finally stood.. .And how much better off are we? How many spreads ended like rainbows? 8 weeks into the season the jabbering prophet appeared in East Rutherford, and the people immediately took to their homes, shuttering windows and living by candlelight.

He came holding aloft his 'Blindside,' and cursing in tongues, the people reviled the prophet, but in the back of their minds, they feared him, because they knew he was right. The people at Salomon Brothers know him, and then they vanished to dust. They mocked him in MLB, but his Money Ball won again. And across the door in blood, he left his scrawl. Something like the blood left on Pharaoh's door, just when he thought he'd be kicking ass for years. And God would not skip that door, and in the blood it said Left Tackle', and it was the door of Tom Coughlin. God smote Tom Coughlin, and he smote Luke Petitgout's ankle. And the Giants fell and the season became unto a twisted writhing thing with the people wondering if the Lord had forsaken East Rutherford. And lo, it became the karmic cycles of Tom Coughlin. In the beginning was Coughlin's word and it was 'no injuries, no penalties,' And ye, there have been many penalties and many injuries. And so, the cycle nears its end, and certainly swans may die. And ye, it is the first round, and the Giants come scorned by nearly all respectable voices, and rightly so. And yet, in universal scorn, there is power. And so the people truly knew that it was the Giants and the points.
