Causes of chronic fatigue syndrome

antibiotic intake, which destroys the normal intestinal flora such as bifidobacterium and lactobacilus species). This chronic candida infestation can cause further damage to the intestinal wall, which in turn also changes the intestine's response to other foods, and chronically releases toxins that activates the body's immune system. Another culprit could be the high intake of cow protein in the form of cow's milk as well as beef; you simply don't see other primates hunt and kill cows, or herd them to drink their milk. In fact, milk should only be taken by and infant, until the intestinal tract is ready for solids.

Thus, with the abovementioned hypothesis, we can look at agents causing and worsening this multi-factorial and complex pathogenesis:

Primary:

* Staple Intake of Wheat, Maize, Rice and other grass species.
* High Intake Cow protein.
* Over indulgent intake of antibiotics (western practice), causing flora disturbances.

Secondary:

* Fungal infestation (candidiasis) due to above causes, with further intestinal damage and toxin release.
* High intake of sugar in the West, increases candida growth in intestine, and causes fermentation which in turn could lead to Irritable Bowel Syndrome, common in CFS.

Tertiary:

* Aberrant digestion and absorption of other foods, minerals and vitamins due to damaged intestine, leading to abnormal metabolism, especially the ATP cycle.

Quaternary:

* Chronic immune response to toxins with sub-acute release of antibodies, ANF, Interleukins etc.

All these factors cause negative feed-back in the body, and the vicious cycle continues.

It is also known (as well as experienced by myself), that certain agents trigger or worsen the symptoms, most notably alcohol products(contains traces of wheat and yeast, and interferes with the insulin-glucose process); caffeine (interferes with the ATP cycle) etc.

It can thus be seen that Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a multifactorial problem, and should be approached as such in research and treatment.
