Finding the perfect gift for your wife or girlfriend is something that many men grapple with every year. Why it seems to pose such a problem to them most women will never understand. They throw out hints all year it is up to the savvy man to hear and understand them.

All women want to be thought of as beautiful by the man who loves them. They also want a little mystery and a lot of romance. So if your woman wears gold, know that. If she is a silver lover, know that too. Jewelry gifts are always a good idea but they need to fit the taste of your love so don't get her the Hope Diamond if she likes simple gold chains. If she likes a lot of bling then give her that. If you really are at a loss, talk to her girlfriends, they know her. If you have a daughter bring her along, she knows what mom likes.

Treat her to a spafinder.com gift certificate. These are good at 100's of spas around the country and there is sure to be one close to where you live. Most woman don't put themselves forst and this is a chance for her to take care of herself for a change and again it makes her know that you think she is worth it.

Gift certificates are the perfect gift if they are the right gift certificates. If she likes crafts give her a certificate to AC Moore or Michaels, if she is a gourmet chef then William Sonoma is great, if she loves clothes and shoes Macy's or Bloomingdales will be a sure fire fit. Again, just prove to her that you know her well enough to make an educated choice of gift certificates. Don't give her Home Depot or Lowes unless she is into construction.

Buy her a book by her favorite author that she hasn't already read and add a really nice book mark . Do not give her your favorite author unless you like slepping on the couch. Add a single rose to any of these gifts and the perfect card and I see a very happy life in your future. Never, give your girlfriend, fiance or wife a vacuum cleaner or a scale, no matter what she tells you. She may need it, but she doesn't want to receive it from you as an anniversary gift. She wants something that says that you know her better than anyone else in the world. Being psychic is a good thing. You need to know what she wants, she shouldn't have to tell you. Most women are quite good at this; we listen all year for hints. Men, this is a skill you need to cultivate. Finally tell her how much you love her, appreciate her and can't imagine what your life would have been like if you hadn't found her. Most of all, always remember your anniversary even if it is just with a card.
