How do I compete against the unkown
When everyone is against me and I'm on my own
Giving in and trusting has made me weaker than before
And now I am once again, all alone
How do I trust when every time before
That trust was broken, it's still to hard to ignore
Needing to be loved, to feel safe and secure
To know I have something to believe in, unlike ever before
How do I believe, when actions prove different
Even though I want to with all of my heart
Need to believe in something beautiful and true
Knowing in the end, the outcome will tear me apart
So how do I stay strong
When the place I gained your strength
Has slipped away completely
It was to much to ask for you to go to such lengths
Where do I turn when
Once again my world is crashing around me
The heart, once turned to stone, once again being shattered to pieces
For a love I know was undeserving of me
How do I face another day, feeling lost and alone
Knowing I have been down this road before
Where it will lead, where it will end
Above all knowing it won't be repeated once more
How do I live with knowing, what a fool I am
To ever believe anyone as wonderful as you
Could ever love someone like me
Would ever really want to spend your life as two
How do I stop the tears that fall
Trying to hide my pain with you gone
To do as I have always done
Deal with things alone
For the light in my soul is gone, there is nothing but blackness
A deep dark hold where love and hope used to be
So cold and fathomless no light can reach it
Left where your love used to complete me
Without the light, there is no trust
Without the trust, there is no hope
Without the hope, there is no love
Without your love, there is no life

In love of life I was above my head and beyond sensibility.

Once on a green spot I stood

ice white clouds flew upon my head
And sadness had me enveloped

scuffs you up,
kicks you around...
this is what you must do,
to find your direction-
