Shopping for an anniversary gift for your lady can be intimidating. If you purchase the wrong gift, it can be disastrous. Asking what she might like can be perilous. The following never fail choices will help make your special day one that's most memorable as well as keep you safe and sane.

* Cards - You may want to flee in terror as you round the aisle and see that long rack of greeting cards but don't. Picking the perfect card can convey a heartfelt message that will set the mood for the whole day. Cards are laid out in clearly marked sections and are available for every length of relationship. Take the extra time to choose a card that expresses how much your lady means to you. A good choice will bring tears to her eyes.

* Flowers - A pretty bouquet is always a pleaser. A rose for every year you have been together is a romantic gesture. A consistent even dozen is a good choice too but these can be expensive. A lovely mixed bouquet can be just as effective and more reasonably priced. A potted plant is an eco-friendly choice that will be around to grow with the relationship. This is also a good choice if your lady has allergies.

* A Special Meal - Breakfast in bed, lunch for two or a romantic dinner is a never fail gesture. Choose a food type that you both enjoy and arrange the "date" to fit your schedules. It is important that the meal is shared in a low stress environment. Arrange for a sitter if you have children. Prepare the meal yourself, call for takeout or have it catered. You can purchase pre-prepared meals at larger grocers if you call ahead.
