A BURDENED LEADER WALKS *
Alone he walks
The road beneath his feet resounding
To the harshness of his step
The weeping willows nod their boughs
In silent mournful sympathy
And all around the deathly quiet
Matches his lonely and aching heart
Alone he thinks
So many doubts invade his mind
Did he fail or did he not
His soulful heart cries, why can't I
Break down this awful barrier
How can I ever find what they want
How can I be of help and lead them on
Yet still he walks
Along the road, past the houses
All of which he does not see
His eyes see unseeing stare ahead
Whilst he looks inwards at himself
He walks unconscious of the world
Alone with his sad and troubled mind
Away he walks
Along the road his steps move on
Alone he looks for the answer
The burden he bears so seriously
With true and heartfelt sincerity
It's hoped that the answer will soon be found
For this lonely and troubled younger man

Carry the secrets at all costs
forty years of love lost
Never giving thought to the price
another pays for your vice

Who I was: she died that night;
who I am is half alive.
All I feel is cold inside,
and all I know is I’m not alright.

I need to rid myself of this burden
That holds itself inside my heart
With unknown intent
And with no real reason for getting
A Cure For Lemmings
A bus
picks up the skins
and leeches,
the busted wealthy.
I plug my ear holes in
to drown the atavistic
