This is the end of the road; your cirrhotic liver become so hardened that there are not enough healthy liver tissue to perform the metabolic and detoxification process. My advice to you; live life fully, cherish every minute and pray that the end will be peaceful and painless, concluded the specialist assigned to Jo, who despite her medical training kept denying the oncoming symptoms of liver failure.

The flapping tremor of her hand became slightly increased, confusion turned into dumbness and deafness, minutes passed in silence between the two when she finally registered the verdict; yes she replied, I heard you, the end is near and I am going home now to live until I can.

Jo a 49 years of old divorced woman with two grown up girls were suffering of depression since giving birth at the first time. Diagnosed with post-natal depression, her long search began to find the right medication. Ten years later after trying most drugs and number of alternative therapies without success.  Finally, the introduction of Lithium broke the ice and once more she became a productive member of society. Like all drugs Lithium also had its side effects that she accepted with grace and lived life one day at the time.
Hoping to became completely free of depression she began to practise Yoga.


This idea is postulating that the human race is experiencing an almost irreversible amnesia concerning its identity. Furthermore, identification with the body is the root of all suffering, spirit I am, the body is my vehicle, only the mind needs heeling from thinking to be a body.
Beside religiously meditating on the above idea,  she counter acted  each anxious thought with the mantras of: "I am the power over my body" and that:" My will is governing how I feel."

As an addition to life challenges, her medically trained eyes began to question the appearances of spider shaped capillaries on the skin and an extensive bruising all over her body. The flapping tremor of hands was worsening by the day and tiredness kept her house bound. She knew those symptoms were the silent witnesses of an oncoming liver failure. Finally, the clubbing of the end of fingers forced her to seek medical advice.

After digesting the verdict that the end is knocking on the door, she arranged her funeral, changed her will and gathered the family together to discuss the future.

To her, the so called support of family and friends became an added burden. In a youth worshipping
