Poetry: Birth of a child

"Episode of Meandering Wonder"

What awakes my heart of this summer?
But, the beat of a wee human heart
I've all these dreams then come forth sighs;
the chord shares support of limitless care
and I delight; that's why I exhale in thought
New songs and senses break forth
This, is what wakes my heart

Too greatly, I know well, that a likeness grows
As it should be; yet, I wonder stirred by familiarity,
What this tender newborn perfectly gathers from
soul's silent cells; my awe gushes for an expression
of what we now do not see
How we are lost in thought; connected by short sentiments
and by voices that are revived in designs of birth

And the bright skies, they too hear my heart exclaim
August, is here, has awakened and wells up;
streams amidst the echoing of these hills
While the season makes song, in the woods and hills deep,
my fields flash dewy sparkles and blue gleams heighten
an enrichment to the day. I sigh with marvel and wonder
"Will his eyes match the summery blue of this sky today?"
