Losing weight quickly is a lot easier than you think. Besides being ill, you can lose about five to ten pounds in one week. You want to find out how to lose that much weight in just one week? I've managed to lose five pounds in one week many times over with a serious diet plan that took a lot of dedication. But, if you want to look great for that wedding, reunion, or for that party you've been invited to, follow my plan for losing five pounds in one week.
Even though I know I am sounding like one of those horrid infomercials, I promise I am not selling you anything. Even that sounds like one of those informericals you see at some horrid hour of the morning. The first five to ten pounds that you lose is water weight. Yes, and I know this very well, because I have followed this diet plan many times and it does work.
Basically, it just takes some common sense, and trying not to starve yourself. What you have to do is drink a lot of water every day for one entire week. It can be lemon water if you like so that you have some taste to the water. But don't sneak in coffee or tea, because they are diruretics. They will empty your stomach fast of it's water, and thus your body, but you don't want to do that because you will be drying yourself out.
Drink water with every meal, and then drink as much as you can handle without overdosing.
Eat a light cereal such as Cheerios for breakfast. And no cheating with milk or sugar on those Cheerios! For lunch have a lettuce salad with croutons and a very light dressing.
For dinner have a very light meal also such as baked chicken, with vegetables without butter and another very light salad.
On this diet, you can't eat fried foods, or have snacks. You are not allowed to have alcohol, or load up on soda or even diet soda. You must try to eat foods that are slimming. A dinner with peel and eat shrimp and steamed vegetables is a good choice. Eating a lot of healthy fruit during the day and even a snack of fruit is good as long as it isn't a sugary fruit such as strawberries. Try to stick to a banana, or watermelon or even grapes.
Have toast for breakfast the next day and have salad once again. Drink water throughout the day to stay hydrated. It will also fill your stomach and flush out the impurties and the water weight of about five pounds. No cheating on this diet is allowed. You can't snack with potato chips and other foods that contain salt. Salt will hold in the water weight.
I have done this many times before and yes it does work. You can lose five pounds in one week. Certainly you will feel very hungry, but you will lose the desired weight in a healthy manner and be ready for the event you want to look great for.
The day after your big event, eat everything your heart desires. Unless of course you like having a flatter stomach. Of course you can always eat something a little more fattening and not drink any water for several days, while you enjoy the slimmer looking you. But don't stay on this diet for more than a week or two. While it is enjoyable to look great, after those first ten pounds, the hard work starts, when you have to start working out, and you will need the energy to do so.
