The Clouds
The clouds are always there.
They soar majestically above everything else,
blown by the winds of eternity.
They were there before our time,
they will be there after our time.
It's lucky we're alive to behold their purity.
They don't judge,
they're free from the tainted reality
of the grounded world.
When you need shade they're right above you.
When you need warmth they let the sun shine through.
They're always there.
Sometimes they glow with a golden beauty,
other times they're grey with rain.
You can curse the rain, but it only helps things grow.
Despite what you may think,
clouds don't get distracted by anything.
You can't change their course.
It may appear some days that the clouds are not there,
but if they're not in the sky, they're in the air
or in the ocean waiting to rise again.
My love for you is like the clouds.
