As the white truck slowly pulls up the drive
The dogs are waiting, party of five.
Listening for the horn to blow,
The howling starts; sun, rain, sleet, or snow.
A siren approaches within earshot,
The howling begins from the whole lot.
The neighbors must wish we would move far away
Or at least give a promise not to take another stray.
Singing practice is lead by our son,
Directing as if there is a prize to be won.
Pretending to sing, the son starts the howls.
The dogs send matching sounds from their jowls.
I, personally, think we have a great choir.
Too bad, there is no way to sound proof fence wire.
What is pleasant to one may be pain for another.
To enjoy their music you must be a dog lover.

Nose to the ground,
To find a place to pee.
I spray here and spray there,
Please let me run
I feel a tickle from whiskers
and a little damp nose,
I look down at my feet,
and yep, there she goes.
I can feel my face,
