ALZHEIMER'S
Help me remember
The man you used to be.
"I don't remember"
You say to me.
Your mind was always so sharp,
A really brilliant man.
What are you thinking now
As you do what you can?
Before me stands the man,
The body slightly bent.
The heart beats strong and steady,
The mind no longer messages sent.
Within the outward and visible signs
The beauty of your soul stays.
A small spark of hidden love
Reflecting memories of past days.
