So. You want to work in a call centre. The best place to look for a job in a call centre, is the company's website. They're always hiring in some part of the centre, so chances of you finding a job is as high as the sky. Fill out the application, as long as your IQ is higher than your shoe size, and you have a grasp of the english language you will be fine. Once you fill out the application, you'll receive a friendly email thanking you for applying and you will hear from someone soon. This isn't a case of you might hear, you will hear. Usually within a few days. You will probably have a phone interview. Don't worry, this feels more like an informal chat about you. They will most likely invite you for an interview. Make sure to dress smart. Clean pressed black trousers, and clean pressed button up top is always a good choice. Make sure your shoes are clean! They will ask you a whole bunch of questions, which may seem scary, but don't worry. They just want to see if you have a brain. Remember: breathe out of your nose. You can take your time answering and if you need a question repeated, don't be afraid to ask. After the interview, they will tell you they'll be in touch. Yes, they will call you. Most likely the same day to offer you the job. If you know someone who works in a call centre, ask them about incentives to find new colleagues. The company may pay the finder, and of course you can split the reward. Some are a few hundred dollars!
Unless you are unable to breathe from your nose, your IQ is lower than your shoe size and you can't string two words together, you will get a job in a call centre. You must ask yourself. Do I want to work in a call centre? Weigh up the pros and cons.
You won't have to move much. You'll be sitting on your backside 8 hours a day. You have two main instruments. 1. a phone and 2. a computer. Not hard. You'll probably make some good friends.
But. You will have someone scream at you for any reason possible. You will have people swearing at you. You will have people telling you the service provided is crap, even though you did nothing. You will have to work weekends, and not just 9-1. You'll have to work all day on weekends. You will be stuck in a room all day. You will be taking call after call after call until your break.
