Crystal clear blue waters touch this land and retell stories about old times. Can you listen to their whisper?! Can you hear the sounds that retell you about the Vikings, Royal families, fishermen and at least friendly people who had lived and still live today here. Can you hear the legends about the sea kings, sea depths, treasures, mermaids...

How can you reach this land which is situated on the Sealand and Amager Islands and is separated from Malmo (Sweden) by the strait of Oresund?! What can you expect here?! Colorful atmosphere where history and modern life are linked in such a way that everything is interesting and worth visiting!

The city of the mermaid, the Royal capital of Denmark which is one of the Europe`s oldest and most magnificent capitals can be reached very easy in four ways: by air, by train, by car and by boat. Copenhagen airport which is the major airport in Northern Europe gives the choice of more than 130 different destinations worldwide with its daily non-stop flights. In this case Copenhagen could be very easily reached from any part of the world. The central railway station welcomes more than 80 000 people every day all the year round. Direct trains reach Copenhagen from all major cities in Europe. Another way of reaching Copenhagen is from the Swedish city Malmo (only 10 miles=16 km) on the Oresund bridge. There are direct ferries to Norway, Sweden and Poland from Copenhagen and good connections to the United Kingdom and Germany.

1000 years ago hardly anyone had thought that this small fishing village would have grown into the center of Denmark. An interesting and significant fact is that although being a modern international city Copenhagen has kept its charm through the years and today offers to its visitors the unique city center with pretty city houses and mansions built in the 18th century, beautiful canals, developed harbor, historical palaces and churches, modern buildings like the Opera House and the Black Diamond, green parks and wonderful beaches.

This magnificent capital of the Danish Empire is today a part of a most dynamic region in Northern Europe. Copenhagen offers different things for everyone`s taste-sightseeing, entertainment, artistic events, gourmet dinners, night life.

Colorful and picturesque is the city with its Royal palaces-the Amalienborg, the Christiansborg, the Frederiksborg and the Rosenborg; green parks that surround the palaces and other pretty gardens and parks like Botanical Gardens, Amager Beach park; churches and museums; modern buildings like the Opera House and the Black Diamond; wonderful beaches Hellerup, Bellevue, Amager with white sand and clear blue water and many, many other interesting things.

Leaving the city everybody will wonder if the mermaid, one of the symbols of Copenhagen will enter the human world earlier and not waiting on her rock for 3000 years (according to the legends). The visitor will wonder if by next visiting the city will be the same: magic and enchanting. The answer is: NO! Copenhagen will develop through the years every day and even every minute, keeping its traditions and historical heritage alive and staying open for the challenges of the new time.

And the blue waters will retell you another story next time...
