Houston, Texas has a wide variety of attractions and activities to entertain every age group. For families visiting with teenagers, there are so many things to do and to see that will excite even the most finicky teenager. When visiting Houston, one will find shopping, entertainment, sporting events, water activities, museums, and restaurants.

SHOPPING
As far as shopping goes, the Galleria is a shopping playground for all ages. It is located in Uptown Houston on Westheimer Road. Hundreds of stores and restaurants surround a year-round use ice rink that is visible from all three stories of the mall. It is the fourth largest mall in the United States of America where visitors can shop under beautiful glass atriums and for teenagers enjoys such stores as Sharper Image, Hollister, American Eagle, and Banana Republic. The surrounding Uptown Houston area provides plenty of other shopping opportunities where stores like Old Navy, the Gap, and Game Stop can be found. For an exceptional outlet shopping experience, just north of Houston off of highway 290, on Hempstead Road, visitors will find the Houston Premium Outlet Mall. Shoppers will find cost cutting deals from a wealth of stores like Claire's, Lids, Coach, Adidas, Covers, Crocs, Vans, Bebe, Aeropostle, and Juicy Couture.

ENTERTAINMENT
Houston has entertainment available year round for people of all ages. For teenagers, movie theaters abound around just about every corner. Houston is also a performing arts Mecca. During the summer, in Herman Park, visitors will find a wide range of theatre productions at the open air Miller Outdoor Theater located in the very center of the park. In the spring, the Houston International Festival is held in Sam Houston Park. This festival celebrates the culture, music, art, and food of cultures from all around the world. There are activities available for the whole family including concerts by popular musical artists and entertainers. On the north side of town, in the Woodlands, the Cynthia Mitchell Woods Theater hosts popular musicians and entertainers from around the country. Just south of Houston, teenagers will enjoy NASA's Space Center Houston located on NASA Parkway. Visitors have the opportunity to walk through and experience a replica of a space shuttle. Fly a shuttle simulator, talk with real astronauts, and, if a mission is going on, experience the excitement. Additionally, visitors can tour the NASA facility, and even visit mission control.
