I want to be a success
In just one wee way
I want to leave an impression
On some one "today".

If I can't get it done, today, then,
Maybe "one day" I can;
I don't care who I might help
Be it a child, or a man.

If I could make some one smile
For just a while today"',
It would make my life worthwhile,
No matter what others might say.

If I could help some one love
Just a wee bit more,
It would make me feel better
Than anything in store.

So God, please grant me this gift
To be another's friend
Let me know the place to go
To help a heart to mend.
