If you want to really impress your girl with a gift that seems like you put a lot of thought into it then this is the article for you. I will start with an absolute no brainer.
1. Every girl, whether she is your girlfriend or your wife will love jewelry. It makes the heart flutter and evokes instant love from every woman or girl out there. This is also a very serious gift.
Now say this is a recent relationship and you aren't quite to the jewelry stage yet or you don't want to add that serious nature into the mix as of yet. The girlie gift that almost all women love getting is a scent that their man also likes.
2. You guessed it; the next gift on the list is perfume. Bath sets, scent diffusers, and of course candles do fall into this category. This gift is still romantic and quite thoughtful.
What if this is a reallly long relationship we are talking about? Say you have been married or dating for like a gazillion years. How do you get a gift for the girl who has everything? You have covered all of the bases over the years, but you still want to be a thoughtful mate and give her something her heart desires. This is where most people start to feel like they are in tricky territory. You know her better than anyone if this is a long term thing. What are her interests? This is the question you want to ask yourself before devising your gift. Is she a gardener? How about that new composter they just came out with. Or better yet a nice bench for her garden. That way she can relax and enjoy her garden while at work. How about a gift for the techie women out there? You know the ones who love every new gadget. Get her the newest thing. Be it a new phone, new laptop, or even new software. How about a gift for the thinker? You know the one that always has her nose in a book. I would suggest an autographed copy of a classic or one signed by an author she loves. Of course there are the artistic women. You know the type; loves crafts and art and new things in general. I would suggest an artistic or craft set that appeals to her likes. The list goes on and on. Basically if you think about the type of women you have in your life these sorts of ideas will come easily.
3. A gift that is universally loved is also a comfort gift. Perhaps a cushy pair of slippers and a matching robe would do the trick. Have you considered a lovely pair of pajamas? The style and coverage is up to you, but you get the gist. These sorts of gifts make women feel pampered and loved.
Now you have put a lot of thought into this. I can tell as you have read the whole article. Now I come to the coup de grace. If your wife/girlfriend has everything and you still just don't know how to proceed then-
4. My best suggestion yet, how about a nice gift card to her favorite store. Women love this. It is thoughtful and they don't have to return anything you bought for them for something they will actually like. Speaking from experience this is a very enjoyable gift.
Now keep in mind that I am writing from the perspective of a woman. I hope that my advice has helped. Happy gift hunting!
