CHRISTMAS
Just once a year
Every year
We remember
The good times,
The bad times,
We remember
The poor
The lonely
We remember
The homeless
The unemployed
We remember
The sick
The dead
We remember
Our children as infants
Our children as toddlers
We remember
Our parents
Our siblings
We remember
Our duties
Our responsibilities
We remember
Our chance to pray
Our chance to repent
We remember
If there was no Christmas,
Just once a year, every year
Would we remember.
Once a year
Every year
Christmas helps us remember.
