Since homosexuality occurs naturally, within nature, instead of in a realm or dimension beyond our sensory awareness it is natural. That would, by definition, make homosexual acts natural, as well. Since homosexuality has existed in virtually every human culture and socio-economic strata, across the span of history it would seem to be natural. Since homosexual behavior is also evidenced in the animal kingdom it would seem to be natural by that test as well.
Religion has muddied our natural waters, including natural sexual expression. Perhaps the question might better be, "Is religion natural?" Religion has confused "sexuality" with "procreation." Although related, the two are quite different. In a broader sense, to answer intelligently rather than emotionally, regarding the nature of homosexual acts, we first have to establish the purpose of sex. Is it merely for procreation or is there more to it? Yes, there's more to it. Read on! (Parenthetically, I must inject that any sexual act can be made sinful, heterosexual or homosexual, depending on circumstances. Adultery, rape or incest for example. With that said, we move on.)
The broader issue being posed in this debate actually wants to ask, "What sexual acts are unnatural and therefore sinful?" Since heterosexual couples have been known, on occasion, to practice sex in the same manner as homosexuals, and they've been known to have sex purely for the (dare I say it? - entertainment value of it) are they also capable of having "unnatural sex"? Deeper penetration into this discussion requires us to look at the meaning of the words "natural" and "sin," but not at the sexual acts themselves. (For the sake of Journalistic Decency, and to keep the censors on 'idle,' I'll abandon the specifics of detail to adult reader imagination.) We continue!
I think before delving too deeply into the sinfulness of anyone's sexuality, I'd like to know why this question matters and to whom? We are sexual creatures in that we creatively seek ways to experience our sexual nature (notice the word "nature"....a derivative of "natural"). Sexual behavior, like "normal" and "stature" comes as a range, a broad one. If we need to narrow it, what determiners do we apply, religion, culture, biology? (I know the answer to these questions. I was just trying to make sure you, the reader, are on the same page I am.) It matters to religious folk, who are concerned about the eternal souls of practicing homosexuals; (more than they are concerned about
