An overview to writing keyword articles

by Cicely Richard

Created on: August 04, 2008

Keyword articles are the key to getting the Internet exposure a writer desires. It the article is keyword rich, then it will generate a lot more traffic than an article that lacks a great number of keywords. Not just essential to Internet writers, keyword articles also help other types of Internet businesses. Keywords are especially important to new entrepreneurs, thus an overview to writing keyword articles can help individuals generate revenue.

For people new to writing keyword articles, there are online resources to help them research the appropriate words for their topic. Not only can individuals search one term, but it will provide the writer with related terms that may be useful in their article. A few tools that writers can use to research keyword include the SEOBook Keyword Tools, Keyword Discovery search tool, and Google Adwords search tool. Once a writer goes to these particular sites, then they can begin writing.

Although writers want to make sure that they have the appropriate amount of keywords in the article, they should concentrate on writing a good article. Writers, therefore, should write the article and not worry about the keywords at this point. Make sure the article is grammatically correct and has a nice flow that readers will enjoy. Once the article is clear and cohesive, then the writer can concentrate on keyword use, especially if the company requires a specific amount of keywords. Textalyser and Live Keyword Analysis can review text to see how keyword dense the article is. Writers copy and paste their texts in a box, press a button and the programs evaluates the text. If writers use Word, they can check their text by going to Edit and clicking on Find. This will find all occurrences of a particular word or phrase.

If the article is not keyword rich, writers can reread their text and replace particular words with words that fulfill the criteria necessary for the articles success. Once words have been replaced in the article, it is a good idea to self-edit the article. Self-editing helps the writer look for small errors that were not detected by word processing programs or sees if the article indeed flows well. Sometimes, it is a good idea for writers to read their material aloud because our eyes tend to correct as we read. Since keywords play a major role in the article, reading aloud will help writers see if the article is not overly repetitive. Being too repetitive is boring and will not engage the readers of the article.

Writing a keyword article is challenging; therefore, online tools and other writing help may be necessary for a new Internet writer. As a person who is new to writing keyword articles, I understand the challenge of writing an article that follows the guidelines yet sounds original and engaging. But, just like any skill, writing on a daily basis, if possible, can help a person become skilled in this area.
