Poetry: Mountaintops of life

by Laura Lamarca

Created on: August 04, 2008

"Beneath the brow of beauty's breath." (Metaphor)

Peace caught a glimpse
of pure perfection,
as cosmos crowded, just to see

and stars sat staring
upon tree's sighs,
as hope spoke in broken beats.

Movements meandered
with fluidity,
as belief listened
to tilted thoughts
and wilted woes grew weightless-

untied themselves
from weary boughs.

Blood-red regrets blew blue
against the bark of better days
as naivety nurtured nuance...

recollected dreams
so long dispersed

and there amidst such tepid air,
where care had been disturbed
lay unperturbed...a healer's hand-

white buds of wisdom
placed...observed.
