Here's a quick and easy variation on the old standby "beans and franks" that is in every bachelor's repertoire. It's quite tasty and can be used as a side dish or main course.
Ingredients:
1 28 oz. can of Bush's Country Style baked beans
1 package of Johnsonville Beer or Stadium brats
1 medium onion
2 tbsp. of your favorite BBQ sauce
1 small can of mushroom stems and pieces (optional)
Slice the brats into 1/2" thick slices. Dice the onion coarsely and add to a medium saucepan with the brat slices. Saute over medium to high heat to slightly brown the brats and the onions start to turn translucent. The optional mushrooms can be added during the sauteing process. Add the beans and BBQ sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
Enjoy.
