Poetry: Passion

GOLDEN MISTRESS

How you make the hairs on my arms
Rise in tides, I do not know.
A whiff of your brilliance
Piques my cravings for more.
I allow your presence to intertwine with mine,
Creating a jigsaw masterpiece.
Seamlessly yielding to my will,
How graciously you adore me.
Though you mistake my meaning,
I am, as a moment of sun
Burning into weeks of thunderous rain,
Grateful for the gift of once upon a time
I was your golden mistress.
