And in Photographs
I
Time erases pictures
snapshots in my head
snippets of how we used to be
all only vague reminders
of faded faded color
grasping memories frayed on the ends
time spent together
saddened by distance
hardened by definitions
forced but frail
I broke us in pieces
me in pieces, you apart
And all the kings men
and all the kings men
could not find me
ever again.
II
And have you ever stared at yourself in the mirror
Stared so hard your face became something else
Distorted shapes, unrecognizable, a question?
Where do your pieces fit together, my dear? And how?
Hello and have we met before, you look so familiar;
I should think we've been introduced
At least once upon a time ago
Back when you knew yourself, my dear? And where?
Two rooms, two views, she says back to me
Your life in transparency; invisible presence
Can you see that now?
Can you see that now, my dear? And when?

The defiant girl
using lies and mental games

They soar and swoop
laughing, calling
to each other, the birds,
the sky.
They race the clouds,
then
The Missing Piece
Doubling back to where
I was just standing,
I forget what it was
that I needed.
My brain is working
overtime-it

Few tears will be shed
While remembering the one
Who walked among us
But was never really there
Intangible traces
Of mere existence
by Geri Lee
A Window To My World
Here is a window, a bearing of soul
Look inside, God plays the leading role
Through defeat and success
