Poetry: Emotions

by Belinda Southwark

Created on: August 03, 2008

A silence in the misty night
The rain drizzles and wets my face.
The stars aren't shining
They let the moon have the spotlight,
Full, pale and beautiful.
Alone in the dark velvet sky
Stretching all around us.

I feel your fingers around mine
I can't see in the darkness,
But I trust you will lead me home.
I can't see your face.
I can't hear your words.
But I know you will lead me home.

We walk forwards through the empty fields.
Towards something I don't know.
I feel the air, I smell the grass
I have something strange in my heart,
And I don't know what it is.
