10 tips for Boston tourists

of Boston!
Get out of Boston! Take a day trip to Boston's North Shore and South Shore. There is more culture along the shore then in Boston and you will not pay an arm and a leg for oysters, fried clams and a lobster roll.

TIP FIVE
"Bean town?"
Boston is not "Bean town!" I have never had baked beans in Boston. Historically, the Brits brought their beans and tea, but they have long been lost with better cuisine. Boston is about SEAFOOD, so go to the N.E Oyster house for the raw bar only and Legal Seafood for dinner and atmosphere.

TIP SIX
"Sports."
Go to the Gahden and catch a Celtic or Bruins game. They practically give away Bruin tickets. If your cash flow is flowing, head to Fenway Pahk for a Sox game. Priceless! Going to anyone of these sporting events will put you in contact with the most loyal and fanatic fans in the states. This is Boston 100%.

TIP SIX
"Cheers."
There is no need to wait in line at the Bullfinch Pub. Woody Harrelson is not behind the bar waiting to serve you. The show "Cheers" was inspired by the pub, not modeled after it. Go to the Hatch Shell around the corner for a free concert, dirty water, muggers and thieves.

TIP SEVEN
"Layover."
If you have a five-hour layover at Logan, there is a pizza joint three minutes away in Eastie, called Santarpio's Pizza. Arguably, it is the best Pizza in Boston. They only have pizza and sausage or lamb on the BBQ. This layover option is better than spending $8 on a cold and stale mystery sandwich at the terminal.

TIP EIGHT
"Duck tour."
I admit it! Taking a duck tour through Boston on your first day will give you a good idea about the size of Boston and the sights to put on your list.

TIP NINE
"Hahvid."
Take the Red Line train to Harvard Sq, Cambridge. There is much to see and go when the little smart-ass kids are on summer vacation. Harvard Sq. is probably the only area around Boston that respects cross walks.

TIP TEN
"Notels."
Don't ever stay at a hotel! There are more Bed & Breakfast options just outside of Boston that put you in touch with people not room service. The "T" or train system is not like NYC or London it is much easier to navigate.
