Poetry: Love sonnets

by Joy Mosenfelder

Sonnet for the Dreamer

Undaunted by the turning of the tide,
In thoughts of ten and five and two and three.
Wither my mind doth know of whence to hide
I'll bide a spell and so I'll think of thee.
Yea, in the hour that light doth break away
I'll come again and rest in you awhile.
My joy, my fear, my hours, my night, my day,
My lady of the subtle sunlit smile.
As water laps and starts to turn again,
I find thee at the failing of the hour.
The sun fades in the east, my absent friend,
My mind be pulled by some unyielding power.
My thoughts stuck fast, my dreams will be of you,
Of four and eight and six and ten and two.
