Darkness To Everlasting Light
Depth of darkness encompasses me as the night echoes with a deafening silence.
It's taunting me.
I stay still
No movement awakes within me
Paralyzed by the hands of time ticking.
The haunting moans of fear come over me as I lay lifeless
Wondering what is to come.
Here I hide in the darken shadows waiting, anticipating the worst.
Alas a glimpse
A flicker of light that ignites inside my very core.
Revealing my strength and courageously guides me.
Encouraging me to my feet and leading me
Through a blacken tunnel to leave this dark, empty place.
I walk ever so cautious
The sound of my heart pounding like a drum
My blood, pumping fiercely throughout my body.
As one foot trembles in front of the other, I make my way.
The steps are steadily increasing with speed.
I feel empowered to confidently walk the path that I had endlessly fallen from.
I persist in the direction ahead
I do not dare to look back at the journey past that beckons me.
The grand door of eternity greets me with no strife,
Just a vibrant energy, a brilliant white light of love.
My soul, now free, is enabling me to elatedly fly once more.
As I spread my wings in flight soaring beyond ecstasy,
I am one again with god and the love that I have searched for is here.
Peace and harmony overwhelms my existence
A warm, gentle embrace now protecting the spirit that I am.
I am finally home
The place that I have longed for is finally my own.
I rest my head on the clouds, drifting off into a slumber of euphoric dreams
Basking in the love and peace that I feared would be never more, a place called heaven.
