Packing: Women vs. Men
She stared at her luggage and cried in dismay,
I've seven days to cruise, to eat and to play!
I need daytime clothes and nighttime clothes,
Warm weather clothes and cool weather clothes.
I'll need swimsuit and parka, just in case I might need it,
The airline has a weight limit and I may just exceed it.
I have just the perfect shoes for this outfit and that,
With wraps that will match, and how about a hat?
I need jewelry and make-up and a hairpiece or two,
Where I'll put all this stuff I haven't a clue.
Bangles and beads and sparkle and glitter,
I'll fit it in somehow, cause I'm not a quitter.'
I watched the scene from our bedroom door,
Unable to enter with all the bags on the floor.
My darling,' I asked, as I shook my head,
How will you carry this suitcase of lead?'
She said not a word but gave me a look,
And I fled to the den to hide with my book.
I don't understand! For me, packing's easy!
I wear the same thing, warm weather or breezy.
A comb and a razor, two changes of clothes,
My job is done and I'm ready to go.
Why she brings so much I can't quite recall,
All I know is that I'll be carrying it all.

The Road Is Long
Desolate escapism,
An eternal highway drowsy from the rain,

We traveled on North,
From the land of palm.
Up mountain trails,
With our Stormriders on.
Winding up hills,
