Betrayal and Heartbreak
Violated Trust
Cinquains
Betrayal
Why did you not
guard my heart as my friend.
You knew me well, no mask did
I wear.
Honor
Always honored
you, encouraged, believed
in who you were. Held your dreams with
great care.
Always
protected you
against the world with prayer.
Stand up for you against a crowd
of wolves.
Why friend
could you not do
the same for me knowing
my heart? Were you afraid of men
were you?
Swayed by
the opinions
of others you listened
disregarding our friendship
we lost!

Broken
hearted you did
not listen with your heart.
Did not stand up for me.. afraid
you broke.
Forgive
I will for you
are valuable to
me.. heartbroken you didn't
value me.
Someone's heart is a delicate
thing.. fragile when given freely
in any relationship. Exposed
vulnerable when given with
complete trust. Be a faithful
friend.. stand against the odds..
Everyone heals but each hurt a
lesson is learned.. forgiveness is
released but a loss of trust and
intimacy is lost. Best to guard the
ones who give their heart without
a mask in the purest sense.

The Betrayal..
You have trod this land forever
in this harsh place we've come to know
You have learned the skills of survival

Away from her face,
Her blue eyes,
