My name is Aldric Harbor, I was born in 1525, in a land where people believe in spirits wondering the forests near my home in Limoges France. This forest was old, smelt old, story told that in the time of the Romans. An old general built his fortress villa here for he loved this land so much. As he got older he desired to see the forest of Persia once again, so in an effort of love one soldier took a fast boat to the far east. The soldier returned with seeds of the trees his general wanted, But he returned to a grave. So when they built the tomb, the soldier planted the seeds near it.

But that was the story told, and thats all, since then the trees have over run the natural trees. Rumors told of people entering the forests and not returning to their beds, that was the story told to children to keep us home. I as a boy never held fear of this in my heart and had always had the fantasy Idea of finding the grave.

"Aldric Harbor..." the teacher shouts, "Just because your ancestors was given land by Prince Eward, means you can daze off in class."

"Sorry sir. Badeau, It wont happen again." I replied sitting up.

Even though I told him it wouldn't happen again, my mind drifted from the class once more to the forest. Anatomy never interested me anyway, I can always study it in other ways. But the smell of the forest and feel of the trees always called to me. even in my sleep I felt its pull on my six senses.

"Aldric, So what are you going to do for your birthday?" my friend Martin asked.
"I don't know, maybe look for that villa." I replied
"Oh...please, thats just a story, theres no truth about that place." one of my other friends said.
"I've heard that wolves eat who ever goes there?" Martin said.
"There is no such thing as Wolves eating humans," Leon stated. "Aldric what you think?"
"I have no Idea." I replied.

Silence came over us as we continued along the road that was paved by the Rome legionaries. After a little while Leon said goodbye and walked into his home leaving me and Martin to continue on. Martin said nothing to me but gave me a worried look.

"Martin, whats troubling you?"
"My father is sending me to Paris."
"Why?"
"I am joining the Brigade that is going to invade the Isle of wight." He said.
"Ha...and you are of afraid of wolves." I joked.
Once in front of his house he said, "No I am more afraid of a bullet taking my life then teeth ripping me to shreds."

Just then his mother poked her head out the door, "Aldric..."
"Hello."
"I hear that you have a birthday coming up?"
"Yes
