Mark LT is similar to its sister truck, the Ford F-150. It is the successor of the Blackwood, another full-sized truck by the luxury automaker. The Mark LT is definitely more practical and use-worthy, but does not hold up well in its class. It does not have quite the power of the Chevy Avalanche, Cadillac Escalade EXT, Dodge Ram or Toyota Tundra, but it is exceptionally smooth and quiet. Its weight, about three tons, and its handling are its biggest cons.
-Mid-Size Trucks-
#1: Ford Ranger/Mazda B-Series
MSRP: $14,330/$16,185
Standard features: 2.3L I4, Manual
Fuel Efficiency: 21/26/23.5
The Ford Ranger is the most affordable truck on the market today, and it is very easy to see why. While it does have phenomenal fuel mileage and a powerful 4.0L V6 engine, it lacks greatly in cabin space, ride quality, handling and braking ability, interior design and modern features. Though it is well worth the money because of efficiency and power, it is clear to see why it is so cost friendly when comparing standard features with its top competitors.
#2: GMC Canyon/Chevrolet Colorado/ Isuzu i-290
MSRP: $15,570/$16,050/$17,799
Standar d features: 2.9L I4, Manual
Fuel Efficiency: 18/24/21
The Chevrolet Colorado, similar to its sister truck the GMC Canyon, is your typical mid-size truck. It is very affordable, gets good gas mileage and high crash test scores. It one of the nicer interiors in its class, but does not have quite the same power or towing capacity. The Japanese truck manufacturer Isuzu no longer produces their own products in North America. They now rely on GM engineering in order for placement on the American market and do so with only slight variation on options.
#3: Nissan Frontier
MSRP: $16,530
Standard features: 2.5L I4, Manual
Fuel Efficiency: 19/23/21
One of the better choices in mid-sized trucks, the Nissan Frontier has ample power, a nice highway ride, a fair amount of interior space and convenient bed features. It does, however, rely on plastic for much of its interior, its options are rarely available individually, and is not available in a regular cab.
#4: Dodge Dakota
MSRP: $21,160
Standard features: 3.7L V6, Manual
Fuel Efficiency: 16/20/18
Perhaps the best choice in its class, the Dodge Dakota has turned heads and lived up to its name which in the Lakota Sioux's language means "friend". Yes, in many ways this is a man's best friend with good build quality, reliability, performance and the best interior design. So far it is being named not only the best American mid-size
