The Chevrolet Avalanche turned the eyes of many auto buyers when it first hit the road in 2002. Balancing its capability to transfer both passengers and cargo, it has earned its name as one of the more flexible and handy vehicles of its time. Many of its owners are very pleased with their purchase and note its smooth ride, comfortable cabin and versatile engine as definite pros. If this type of versatility sounds good to you, this just might be your vehicle.

For years the F-150 has been THE name in trucks. The new 2008 model has gained reputation for having a nice ride, good handling and an attractive array of cab configurations. On the other hand, it has been plagued by critics for having poor performance, little interior room and few options.

#5: Cadillac Escalade EXT

The Cadillac Escalade EXT is very similar to its sister vehicle the Avalanche. Of course it is a great deal heavier than the Avalanche and naturally holds a bigger engine. #6: Toyota Tundra

The Toyota Tundra is no doubt one of the biggest up-and-comers in the truck world. Similar to the Dodge Ram, it is known for being a nice well-rounded truck, but has too many cheap plastic components inside the cabin. Also, the 5.7L V8 has horrendous fuel efficiency at a rough 12 mpg. When compared to the GM models of the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra it is locked in a dead heat. But it does hold quite the advantage in build quality over the F-150.

#7: Nissan Titan

The Nissan Titan is one of the newer full-size vehicles and unfortunately it shows. Though it does have quite a powerful engine, it has a loud exhaust system, is not as comfortable and smooth riding as its competitors, has poor mileage, and is quite limited in cab and drivetrain options.
