"I'm asking you to believe. Not just in my ability to bring about real change in Washington...
I'm asking you to believe in yours." -Barack Obama
In such difficult times we are in need of a president who will listen to his people. We need someone in the office who will make decisions in the best interest of the American people. We need a man like Barack Obama.
Politics can be confusing and stressful, especially during election time. What we need is someone we can believe in. We need someone who is NOT another Bush. For the past eight years we have been led by a man who did and does not listen to the people who placed him in that office in the first place. This is a man who would rather be on vacation than deal with hurricane victims. This is a man who placed America in serious debt and who has neglected to try and change anything here in America.
We watch as gas prices rise and jobs losing business. Illegal immigrants come in without hesitation and global warming becomes more of a threat. It is true that America once was a very stable country. We were once able to help other countries fight for their rights, but these days it is a different situation. We are now the ones in need. We need to fix our problems first before we can even try to fix another countries troubles.
Barack Obama understands this logic. He believes we have to improve America. He agrees that we should not be in Iraq. He believes it is time for a change.
You can tell Barack Obama is serious. He is a man who has reached out to many different kinds of people. Just recently he has traveled to Europe where thousands of people joined to hear him speak. If you happened to turn on the news to see him in front of all those people you could just tell by looking at him that he could be the miracle we have all been hoping for. McCain meanwhile has been working on making his opponent look bad with commercials comparing Barack to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. McCain has tried to stress the "race card" even though it really wasn't a huge issue. McCain is spending more time with bantering than trying to tackle the real issues. I would like to think that the average voter can see through all that shamelessness. I really do believe that this election is different than previous ones. We all know that this is a serious time for our government and for our nation. We are not in the mood for this bantering.
Barack Obama has many goals. These goals are hopeful and inspiring. For once we have a candidate that is running
