Well, I definetly have to agree with most; I do believe that the ILLEGAL immigrants are just that...ILLEGAL! I believe that they should all be deported back to their original countries of birth, and if they want to live in America, they should have to go through extensive paperwork, screening, and prove their loyalty to America. I think that giving them citizenship to America just because they have already lived here ILLEGALLY for years is wrong. They should go through a long process that shows a reason for them to be able to become citizens. 1.) Make them prove their loyalty by serving at least 4 years in the military. While they are doing this, their families have to remain in their orignal countries. 2.) Extensive background checks, for EVERY family member. 3.)After their 4 year required military service, work at a job making minimum wage, with their families still in their own countries...for at LEAST 2 years. Then, if they want to bring their families over(meaning their immediate familes i.e spouse, children), not cousins, aunts, uncles, etc., then they can do the same. Make it to where they are not elligible to receive any kind of government help (i.e food stamps, medicaid, etc) and if they can't make it without those things, deport tham back to their countries.
It is sad that thousands of people can not find housing due to illegal's taking the housing that should be there for the poeple that are legal. They are left homeless, or haveto "make do" with what is left over after the illegals get what they want. Americans live in America for that reason...it is their country. I think it should be this way for every country. If you are not an American, go back to your country, and prove that you have good reason to live in mine. Living in America is a right, and that right should be earned. Just like if you have a job, and want a raise, you have to earn that raise by showing that will work hard, and you are dedicated to that job. EARN IT.
We need more secure borders to keep these illegals out. This is our country and to protect it we should be willing to put our lives on the line for it. We need to make it secure for our children, and our grandchildren, and so on. How can we do this if we let anyone remain in this country? How can we protect our families when we don't know who our neighbors are, and if we can trust them? All ILLEGAL immigrants need to go home, and then try to start over, and come to this country the LEGAL way.
