Well, the subject of recycling is in everyone's vocabulary now but that doesn't mean that everyone recycles as much as they can. I mostly notice this at public events. The owners running any festival or having any public gathering should plan ahead for their patrons to have the opportunity to recycle their water bottles or any other material that is recycleable. We can save our environment and make it last longer but also save ourselves some money. Washing out your empty butter bowls can be used for leftovers. Saving your soda bottles and returning them to the store can save you money on your grocery bill. My son picks them up all over and sometimes finds $20.00 a week. We aren't even going out of our way to collect them.
Also, instead of buying brand new items of furniture and clothes, you can check out your local thrift store or consignment shop. You save the environment and also save yourself some money. Those plastic grocery bags can be used for waste baskets in your home or recycled at some supermarkets. Don't just throw them away. Old newspapers can be used for animal cages or wrapping for moving or packing away breakables. Spaghetti jars can be used to store spare change or used for a child's insect collection.
Sometimes the school teachers will ask parents to save egg cartons and send them to school with their children to be used for art projects. So as you can tell not only can you save the environment you can save yourself some money at the same time. Get creative and find new ways to save our environment and yourself some money. You and all citizens sharing our environment would be happy. Also, having a bottle drive for a church or youth group or your kids cub scouts can help raise money for their cause. At the same time you are helping the environment.
Also, if the tabs off the cans of soda are saved separately can be donated to local kidney centers to help dialysis patients pay for their treatment and at the same time save our environment. If you really investigate you can find more ways to save money and save our environment at the same time. If you know someone with a fireplace, wood burning stove, or out door burning pit, you can have your burnable garbage save room in our landfills. We can all do our part to save our environment and save ourselves some money at the same time.
So many people are wasteful and at the same time complain about their surroundings being littered or not having money. When everyone becomes conscientious of their actions towards the environment, only then will we see tremendous change in our environment's appearance.
