Poetry: Tears

TEARS FOR OCCASIONS

Sometimes we shed tears from joy, tears from pain;
Sometimes we produce tears and we can't explain.
A baby cries, it's their way to grab attention;
It's up to we adults to decide, is it real or is it pretend.
Tears come from anger, they come from emotions;
Some people are just spoiled, just creating a commotion.
Sensitive people cry and some appear to be cold;
No matter how we react, tears have a story to be told.
I may burn my hand, that definitely will hit a nerve;
Whether I cry or not, it will throw me for a curve.
Sometimes tears are a warning sign, proceed with care;
It is not a sign of weakness, but a way to tell others to beware.
No matter what causes a person to produce tears, one thing is for sure;
It is the body's way, to cope and endure.
