House MD is an excellent television show. I highly recommend it. It effectively combines good acting, hilarious humor, excellent plot, puzzling medical mystery, unmistakable wit, and great character development. I watch the show every Tuesday when a new episode is aired and if you like humor, drama, great acting, and superb medical mysteries you should too.
The show centers around a brilliant doctor named Gregory House. Among brilliance he possesses other less appealing characteristics. He is stubborn and addicted to pain-killers. He is condescending and assumes everyone else is an idiot. He is often childish and immature. Because of all these qualities he is a very entertaining man to watch. Gregory House is portrayed beautifully by Hugh Laurie.
House has three subordinates working under him. One is a female named Allison Cameron. The other two are male named Eric Foreman and Robert Chase. They add interesting elements to the show as well. The primary being that house pretends to be racist and sexist constantly and really enjoys toying with them. They have prominent personalities that often come into conflict in the duration of the show. Each of them adds a new element that makes the show better and better.
House has one friend. That's right, in the whole world there is only one person who befriends House. His one friend is Doctor James Wilson. Wilson is a nice guy who is pretty much the opposite of House in most ways. He is compassionate and caring, but not nearly as smart or well versed as house. Wilson is a good character and fairly well developed. He is a push over who allows House to walk all over him in many occasions.
House's boss is also a very interesting character. She's a reasonable person who puts up with House only because of his brilliance. She hired him because he is medically very sound, but she also knew that he had been fired four times in the past. She is a smart person who can deal with House because she knows the benefits far outweigh the risks.
That covers all the main characters, I hope you have as high an opinion as I do of the show once you have watched it as well. It's on Fox at 9:00 p.m. (21:00).
