at this point. This isolation due to technology is also taking place outside the schools.
Cycles continue. Students whose parents did not graduate from high school or college tend to follow that same pattern. Even fewer of these students are graduating now than in the past. These students, if they do graduate from high school, are also more likely to exit colleges without obtaining a degree. This is a trend that must be addressed. To change this trend there must be major adjustments in the education system. Students are not motivated so we must develop programs that will motivate.
On the other hand, of those students whose parents did graduate from high school, and obtain a college degree, about 68% do complete their college education and obtain a degree. As has been the case for a long time, the numbers of graduates has a direct relationship to race and income. Some things never change. Many students seem to have lost hope for their futures because much of the attention and money is focused on the negative issues in the schools. While providing new opportunities for the lower level students there needs to be as much attention for new opportunities for the higher level students.

Their time is exhausted with so many things after school, often those activities are to help them stay out of trouble. However this effort also tends to tire them out and make academics tougher for them. The home life of many students is a major factor in their lack of interest. They are on their cell phones, playing video games, hanging out on the streets, or watching TV most of the time. It is a sad fact that even when they hang out together in appropriate environments, they are on their cell phones texting others rather than socializing with their peers in person. In some cases, maybe there needs to be the removal of activities and extra curricular events so the students can use the best of their time on
