Silence
My world was peaceful,
And very calm.
Before I met you,
Before you came along.
Everything seemed perfect,
But it didn't take long.
Before the truth came out,
Before it all went wrong.
I took your promises,
And kept them in my heart.
I never thought you'd be the one,
To tear it all apart.
Silently you killed me,
With your invisible venom.
You knew exactly what you were doing,
When you gave me some.
You slowly took,
What was so dear to me.
My beautiful innocence,
My viginity.
I didn't know,
It was what you were after.
You would've give up,
So you made me suffer.
Your poison leaked,
Into my skin.
It ran through my veins,
And hurt like sharp pins.
It made me forget,
All I was taught.
I lost my grasp,
And me, you caught.
I didn't realize,
Until it was too late.
You had destroyed my mind,
And sealed my fate.
You silently slipped in,
And stole my soul.
You killed my love,
Your toxins took their toll.
You camouflaged yourself,
Underneath your lies.
You created them so perfectly,
And in the silence I cried.
There were many times,
Deep inside I knew.
I didn't want to define it,
I didn't know what to do.
I ultimately broke free,
Near the end.
I outgrew your deception,
Your best friend.
When you couldn't disguise,
Who you really were.
No longer could you be silent,
Your act was a blur.
I might be by myself,
And for now that's okay.
My life has just begun,
Come what may.
So, I leave you in the silence,
It's your only friend.
Who has really lost,
In the end?

Poetry: Silence
by Ted Onulak
As silent as flowers in a vase
Taking quiet sips of water
Wordlessly counting their last remaining days
Silent as the sunbeams
by Memee
Millions of snow flakes gently falling to the ground
blanketing the earth with out making a sound.
Star gazing from a hilltop
Silence echos all around me:
nothing.
Reminding me of my thoughts,
and taking me further
into its welcoming depth.

Silence is Silent
Is silence found in heart that beats no more
Or is it placed in a dream without an encore
Is silence revealed
Silence
The flame dances on the wick,
Dances to some silent music.
No pounding beat or tune,
No rhythm or rhyme,
Just...silenc e.
