Enchanted Rosy Dil sits at her loom
and weaves a shawl from silver sky and dream;
her frightened tenants trade nightmare for room,
and perhaps a scoop of her famed ice cream.
One angel protects this landlady fair:
in market, across the candlelit hall,
near the inn, and from those living upstairs
who believe Rosy should not wake at all.
Sleeping Beauty weaves a shimmering shawl
to keep her warm in the land of the dead;
as she waits to cross the river, she calls
out quick, her eyes clouded with tears unshed.
A strange twist: She longs for a prince's kiss,
yet cannot recall why she holds this wish.
